Like many companies, we started from very humble beginnings.

I hung out my shingle as a furniture maker in my one-man shop in 1986. I had studied architecture, design and structural engineering at the University of Pennsylvania and thought it would be useful to get some real world experience before entering graduate school. With my education as a solid foundation and my interest in furniture design and construction, I soon left all thoughts of further formal education behind and devoted myself to building my business and honing my design and bench skills.

Over the years we have executed well over ten thousand pieces and have many satisfied customers who enjoy the quality, craftsmanship and design of our furniture on a daily basis.

We have seen our shop grow from me and a few relatively crude tools to approximately 20 highly skilled craftspeople, an array of the most modern computer controlled equipment, and a 33,000 square foot shop. But some things never change. Our commitment to innovative design, high quality craftsmanship and total customer satisfaction remain our core values and inform every day of our working lives.
